What is West Coast Swing?
West Coast Swing (WCS) is a partner dance that originated in the United States, known for its smooth style.
Rather than memorizing fixed choreography, you listen to the music, respond to your partner, and create the dance together in the moment. It can be danced to many kinds of music, including current hits, pop, and jazz.
Dance to all kinds of music
Enjoy a wide range of music, including pop, R&B, soul, and jazz.
Make more friends
Classes and events naturally create opportunities to connect, so even if you come alone, it’s easy to make friends.
Connect with the world
Connect with people around the world through international events and other opportunities.
Do any of these worries sound familiar?
You can join on your own!
Most people who come to a trial class attend alone, so there’s no need to worry.
No dance experience is required. You can begin as a complete beginner.
If you have experience in other dance styles, you can absolutely use those skills too. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience.
We recommend starting with a trial class.
We offer two trial options each month: an approximately 90-minute trial class and an approximately 30-minute mini trial.
If you decide you’d like to continue, we recommend the beginner-friendly three-month course with a fixed day and time. More than 60% of trial participants go on to join the three-month course.
Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Skirts are not recommended.
If you have indoor shoes with relatively smooth soles, such as jazz shoes, please bring them. If not, socks are perfectly fine. Most people join the trial class in socks, so there’s no need to worry. Once you decide to continue, we’ll also be happy to help you choose dance shoes.
